| Job ID | 301 | | Position | Competency Assurance Advisor | | Post Date | 11/10/2009 | | Closing Date | 16/03/2010 | | Scope of Work | Job Purpose: Provide on Job coaching, guidance and support to the Graduates in selected disciplines to complete Competency Assurance Management program. Provide guidance and support to front line staff in critical roles to demonstrate their competency in their respective roles. To provide guidance and support to Assessors in performing the assessment of the candidates in accordance with relevant ZADCO POP, CAMS-DFW &/or relevant international standards.
Principal Accountabilities: 1. Related to CAMS & PDP Implementatkm at ZADCO(Graduates): Organize the assessments of the candidates in CAMS/PDP programs.
Participate as MDCD representative in CAMS related and PDP -Panel assessments
Organize assessment verifications by SPEs of the relevant CAMS disciplines. Assist in preparation and implementation of CAMS Plan & Budget.
In consultation with line management and MDSP Advisors, nominate the suitable candidates for CAMS Program, On boarding course and CAMS - DFW related courses.
Communicate with Assessor, Skill Pool Experts, and MDSP Advisors to plan for assessment of CAMS Candidates and remedial action plans.
Guide the candidates in gathering evidence for competence assessment and in preparation of their portfolios for CAMS assessments.
Prepare a periodic report on candidates progress towards CAMS
Keep up to date with latest cl1anges in CAMS assessment & verification systems
2. Related to Competency Assessment of Front Line Staff, VQs, and CAS: Organize the assessments of the candidates in CAS, VQ program, and Guide Assessors.
Participate as MDCD representative in CAS and VQ related assessments
Conduct internal verifications of the assessments and review candidate's portfolios
Assist in preparation and implementation of Competency Assurance Plan
In consultation with line management and MDSP Advisors, nominate the suitable candidates for CAS and VQ Program.
Prepare a periodic report on candidates progress in CAS and VQ Programs.
Keep up to date with latest changes in CAS and VQ assessment & verification systems
Carry out other related duties assigned from time to time, assigned by the Learning & Development Advisor(s), and MDCD Team Leader.
| | Minimum Requirements | Minimum of Master Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering and IT.
At least 10 to 15 experience in competencey and training management and development in the Oil & Gas Industry.
Membership of internationally reputed Professional Body related to own discipline. Certification as Coach &/or Assessor is desirable.
Experienced in conducting job training and competency assessments
Fluent in verbal and written English language.
Excellent presentation / interpersonal skills, and well organized.
Highly computer literate
| | Salary Remuneration | Salary Range: US$ 500 US$ 575 per day worked (This amount is deemed to include salary, accommodation, end of service benefits, allowances, overtime, airfares, paid leave, etc)
